Bio
I was born and raised in Albany, NY. I moved to East Orange, New Jersey in 1957 and graduated from East Orange HS in 1959. I spent 4 years in the army (1960-1964) and in 1966 I married my wife Betty. We have two sons, Bryan and Keith, and six grand children. I spent 31 years as a graphic artist for a plastic container manufacture. During that period of time, I had the opportunity to watch two wonderful TV artists, Bill Alexander and Bob Ross, and I decided to give the Wet-on-Wet method a try. For some twenty years I would do a painting or two and then put my brushes aside for a period of time. In January of 2007 I retired and decided to do something that I have always wanted to do: I decided that it was time for me to realize my dream, and on November 10, 2007 I became a Bill Alexander Certified Instructor. I am now having the time of my life seeing my students leave my class with their painting and, most importantly to me, a wonderful smile on their faces. What a great life!
